Borobudur Expedition Virtual Voyager Resources Pack

What is the Resource Pack?

A cross-curricular resources pack to use with KS2 children, following the route of an 8th Century replica trading ship from Indonesia to Ghana. The programmes have been made for teachers, by teachers and tested in the classroom. The programmes show what teachers who want to use computers as teaching tools can achieve using standard software.

The files include generic lesson plans and the language is aimed at yr 5 and 6 pupils. The work includes research using the Internet and ICT teaching. We are making the project as inter-active as possible and Voyager schools can link to children in other countries taking part in the Creating Waves Project. The Virtual Voyager Programme is like no other in that it can be seen as a learning conversation between schools. New work is being developed all the time, which can be shared and added to the pack.
